Hi everyone,
i don't know what makes me want to write today. i was thought that, this is one way in order to improve my English. If you spotted any errors when you read my writing, you can correct me straightaway. I just wanna share about my experience that i had about 3 days ago. i had an interview at one of multinational company, and it is big company which is originally located at United State of America. Once i had stepped in at the company i was really shocked because everyone was using english as medium of communication. After i have arrived, i have been asked to fill up the form and i have been waiting for my turn about an hour. Then, i have been called to get in the interview room escorted by interviewer. During the interview i have been asked a lot of question. Before i the interview started, i already know that, i have to use fully english and never try to use malay language a long the interview session is carry on. Honestly, i am not really well verse in speaking english and i'm also have a problem to hear what people say. it does not mean that i don't know what is actually they want to say but i just can't catch up with the accent of someone when they are speaking in english especially when i tried to speak with a native speaker of english or strangers.
After the interview has ended, i got back to home and started to think that, i am not ready yet to work at the environment when all the people are using english as a main medium of communication. then, it become worst, when i got to know that, if i have been accepted to work there, i will entertain or deals with the client from australian. it just make me more worries and i have made decision to turn down the offer. i realized that, the job scope is does'nt matter because i have experience to handle the job scope or job weightage. But, the matters was, i do not really prepare to speak english.
So, based on my opinion, english is something really important. We have to do something with our english because even we have a lot of experience, but we do not know how to speak english, it just a waste. Today's world, people are using english in many things and places such as it has been used at school, working places and many more. So, let get started to brush up our english from now on.
